July 30, 2020

Keeping our friends and families safe!

Due to the new Covid-19  rules and regulations for all Tattoo Shops across Michigan, we do not accept walk ins during this time. We also make all tattoo and piercing appointments remotely, you can do so via calling/texting the business line at 734-740-7310. Please note that all clients must come alone (no friends or family are allowed to come to your appointment with you) at this time. You must wear a mask upon entering the building and for the entirety of your tattoo or piercing appointment. All clients must sanitize hands and belongings at sanitation station before entering our shop. Temperatures are also taken upon entering the shop before filling out any paper work. Thank you!! Hope to see you soon!

Stay safe my friends

Taking Care of your New Tattoo

July 30, 2020

Finally your artistic vision has become a reality and your skin is now canvas to a beautiful work of art. How do you implement the most effective healing process, to ensure your tattoo stays as beautiful as it was on its first day of inception? Here are some quick tips you will find useful throughout the healing process.

  • Follow your artist's directions: Every artist has his personal preference for tattoo aftercare based on their knowledge of seeing their own work healed.  This will cause instructions to vary a bit from artist to artist but generally speaking they should share a lot of similarities. You should also receive an after care sheet as is required in the State of Michigan.
  • Washing your new tattoo: First wash your hands with a mild antibacterial soap being sure to wash every individual finger, under nails and the backs of hands as well. Remove your bandage and gently wash tattoo with mild antibacterial soap and your finger tips. Pat dry the tattoo never rub.
  • Protecting your new tattoo: Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizing cream usually about 3 to 5 times a day. This bit of instruction varies from artist to artist as some do not recommend petroleum based creams. Whatever your artist instructs, follow these instructions carefully.
  • Stay Out of the water: It is fine to shower with your new tattoo and have water run over it, however it is not good to submerge your tattoo in water. You are not to swim or bathe with your new tattoo until it is fully healed, which could take up to 3 or 4 weeks. It is fine to use gauze to cover your tattoo to keep clothes from rubbing against it.
  • No Direct Sunlight: Sunlight can fade tattoos especially color ones even after they have healed. If your healed tattoo will be in the sun, make sure to cover it in a high SPF.
